Titan Poker Review
Titan Poker is one of my favourite haunts, due to the very loose cash games and the superb multi-tabling software. As long as you are not an American player (if you are, check out my Full Tilt and Pokerstars reviews), then this is a site where you are guaranteed a juicy fish supper every time you sit down at the table.
1 ) Software
There is no avoiding the fact that Titan Poker’s software is awesome; the mini-view tables are superbly clear, and the cards nice and big. Furthermore, the action buttons are large and the bet amounts unambiguous. For those of you who like your online poker with real-life frills, you can turn on the dealer voice and be reminded when it’s the “flop”, “turn”, and “river”. Titan Poker is part on the i-poker network and the software is universal across the network. Titan though, definitely has the most attractive “skin”. I’ve played on CD Poker and the aluminous green background made me want to vomit! The deal is slower than average as players are given a hefty time-bank. However, you can play up to 16 tables at once, and being the poker superstar that I am, I take full advantage of this.
2) Traffic and game selection
Titan Poker is one of the biggest sites traffic-wise, out with the big sites such as Full Tilt and Pokerstars, which still allow American players. Peak traffic tends to approach the 30 000 mark. As well as Holdem, various forms of Omaha and Stud are available. The Omaha lobby has reasonable traffic, however the stud rooms appear to be pretty dead.
3) Sign-up bonus
If you sign up through my link, you can get a whopping 100% match up to $500 on your first deposit. That’s as much money as a lot of those poor buggers that work 9-5, get in a week! Your bonus is released in $5 increments for every 600 points you earn in ring games or tournaments, and you get a full 3 months to earn the bonus.
4) Level of competition
Titan Poker is one of the fishiest sites out there; you will routinely get fish calling reraises with ace-rag and other assorted garbage. Preflop percentages can be high, especially at the lower limits, so it will pay to see flops with speculative hands such as low pocket pairs and sooooooted connectors. On the flip-side to this, you will want to raise big with your high pocket pairs to thin the field. For making money, I recommend the low stakes no limit cash games in particular. These games tend to be a limp-fest and when you hit the flop hard (e.g. a well concealed set) you almost always get paid handsomely by a donk. The players in sit and gos are just as bad. However, the blind structure is faster than most other sites, hence there is less time for your skill advantage to bear its fruits.
5) Customer service
Customer service at Titan Poker is superb; not only can you e-mail support and expect a reply within 24 hours, but there is also an online support chat feature built into the poker client. This is exceedingly useful and the staff are most helpful.
6) Deposit and withdrawal options
Like all of the sites I endorse on idontneedajob , Titan Poker boasts a comprehensive list of options for deposit and withdrawal. Whether you want to use your credit/debit card, or a money transfer website, you are most welcome on this truly splendid poker site.
To remind those that have a long-term memory put to shame by a goldfish, Titan Poker is THE site for easy cash games. As long as you can stop yourself tilting too badly from occasional ridiculous runner-runner bad beats, you should make consistent profits, especially at the most fishy low stakes no limit games.
