Pot Limit Omaha Variance is sick !!!
Jesus, I thought that running bad at holdem could be hellish! After postingĀ a good win yesterday playing full ring PLO on Pokerstars ,being the unluckiest person in the universe I naturally have been getting defecated upon by those pricks that are the poker gods.
Nut full house good? Of course not! That fellow there has a Royal Flush!
I get my money in with top set against middle set. Surely I can’t lose this one??? Of course I can, when the fish is guaranteed to hit a running straight.
I think I will give the Omaha a break for today. It’s like trying to get blood out of a stone getting money out of the nit regulars, and the donkeys are experiencing a 100% hit rate in hitting their miracle suckout draws.
Ah, our good old friend variance!

Omaha is by FAR, the most profitable and also the most deadliest form of poker around.

Not even close dude. Yesterday I hit quads on the flop, the brainstrust against me procceded to draw 7 and 7 while going all in on the flop. Obviously this completed his higher quads. 1/1600 I think. But 1600 hands is not that much really
2 hands later I hit top boat on the turn and the same brilliant player went all against me and proceede to draw another quad. 2% chance of hitting
And then… I hit quad A’s on the flop and of course no-one would bet.. I had checked the A’s preflop….
Don’t worry I have receovered all my cash pretty quickly agasinst the same style of brilliant player who will go all in on low flush, drawing to straights etc.
You should encourabge that style of play it is profitable for us in the long run.
