I Don't Need a Job

The following is a clip from a recent episode of the poker Premier League. It is the penultimate heat match, and it is these 6 players’ last chance to earn some points before the playoffs begins. Phill Hellmuth appears to be perhaps a little too cognisant of the importance of the game and plays a little bit too weak/tight for my liking.

In the following clip he makes a great read on what his chubby opponent (Tony G) has and correctly figures he is in a coinflip situation. He decides to fold, which may or may not be the correct strategy, but nevertheless fits in nicely with Phil’s insistence that he likes to play small-ball poker and avoid coinflips whenever possible. Enjoy the clip and don’t revel too much in the Hellmuth bullying that ensues afterwards!
